Technology exchange in the center of Prague
On Prague’s Wenceslas Square, we successfully implemented a demanding technology replacement on a building in Jindřišská Street with the help of our largest crane, the Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1.
The entire event took place in the extremely limited conditions of the very center of Prague, where it was necessary to precisely plan not only the lifts themselves, but also the complete logistics of the entire operation. The implementation included the gradual loading of weights, crane accessories, and the transport of air-conditioning technology so that the crane could be safely installed and fully set up in the minimal space of Wenceslas Square.
A significant part of the preparations was also the assembly of the barriers using the Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 crane, which ensured handling work during the setting up of the main crane. Thanks to the correct coordination of the equipment and the team, it was possible to effectively prepare the entire system for subsequent technology lifts.
Deploying a crane of this size in a densely populated part of the city placed high demands on coordination, safety, and accuracy of individual steps. The entire operation went according to plan – from site preparation through precise lifts to the final installation of the technology and subsequent dismantling of the equipment.
The project confirmed our ability to carry out technically and logistically demanding manipulations in complicated urban conditions and in exposed locations with limited space.
